"And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying 'Hosanna to the Son of David: blessed is He that cometh in the name of Yahuah.' Hosanna in the highest."
The cry of "Hosanna" carries joy and gratitude for Yahusha our Messiah, but at the time this plea was recorded in Scripture, it was a cry of the people to restore the Kingdom; to restore Israel and Judah as spoken of and recorded by the prophets. The Yahudim (Jews) believed that Yahusha was about to deliver them from Roman oppression. There was a bigger picture and promise that had to be fulfilled first. He came first to save the world, and when He returns, it will be to judge the world.
